Will instructions come with my herb order?
Why don’t you include preparation instructions with each order?
We used to include printed instructions with every order. However, many customers still reached out for help, so we decided to make our preparation instructions easily accessible here on the website.
How to Prepare Your Loose Leaf Herbs
For leaves, flowers, cut & sifted pieces, and thin stems:
Option 1 – Quick Brew (Hot Method):
- Add 1 tablespoon of herbs to 2–3 cups of water.
- Bring to a boil, then turn off the heat.
- Let the herbs steep for 15–20 minutes before drinking.
NOTE: The longer the steep, the stronger the brew.
Option 2 – Cold Brew (Overnight Method):
- Add ½–1 cup of herbs to a 16 oz mason jar.
- Fill the jar with room-temperature spring or distilled water.
- Cover and let steep overnight (or up to 12 hours).
NOTE: Longer steep = stronger tea.
Additional Tips for Best Results:
- Drink at least 1 gallon of natural spring water daily while consuming herbs and herbal supplements. This helps prevent dehydration and headaches.
- For optimal results, follow a diet free of meat, dairy, and refined sugars.
- Once brewed, herbal teas/tonics last up to 5 days when refrigerated. Shake daily.
- Add fresh key lime juice to extend the shelf life naturally.
How many times can I use my loose herbs?
Leaves and Flowers: Each teaspoon of herbs can make up to 3 cups of tea.
Stems, Barks, and Roots: Each teaspoon should make 3-5 cups of your drink, depending on how strong you desire for it to be
How can my remaining used herbs be preserved?
Your used herbs can be stored in a small class jar/container or freezer bag and placed in the freezer for up to 60 days.
How can I store unused herbs?
Place your herbs in a food-safe bag (Kraft bag) or glass jar and store it in a cool dark area. Herbs that are unexposed to moisture and sunlight can last for up to 1 year.
How do I store my unused seaweed?
Seaweed can be stored the same way as unused herbs.
Can I take herbs if i am on medication?
We recommend that you speak to a healthcare professional before starting any herbal regimes.
Can I mix herbs?
We do not recommend that all herbs be mixed, please consult a Licensed Master Herbalist or your healthcare professional before starting any herbal regimens.
When is the best time to consume herbs/Capsules? Before or after meals?
If you are consuming herbs for daily maintenance, such as capsules containing Seamoss, Iron PH, Lymphatic System or Anti inflammatory; we recommend that you take them in the morning to get your day started with tons of energy and minerals to carry you throughout the day.
Other capsules that are more specific such as; Kidney/Liver Flush can be taken with food at any time of the day.
Do I have to swallow the capsules?
There is more than one way to consume the herbs purchased in capsule form. You can open the capsules and add to your food, smoothies, juice or water.
SHIPPING + RETURNS + REFUNDS
How long before I get my order?
Our normal processing time is 1-2 business days, please keep that in mind when placing your orders.
During holidays and sales, please allow 3-5 business days for your order to be processed.
Can I return the order if I ordered the wrong item?
Due to the nature of our products, we are unable to receive returned items.
If you accidentally place an order for an incorrect item, please notify us via email info@honestherbstore.com as soon as possible, as most of our orders are shipped within 24 hours.
If your order has already been shipped, or is received and you no longer wish to keep it, unfortunately the return cannot be accepted.
What if I did not receive an item?
If your shipping/tracking information states that your item has been received by the selected carrier and is delayed/not delivered, you will have to file a claim with the carrier.
Unfortunately, once the package left one of our facilities, we no longer have control over it, but we will assist with providing any documentation to assist you with your claim.
What if I enter the wrong address during checkout
Please notify us via email info@honestherbstore.com as soon as possible, as most of our orders are shipped within 24 hours. If your order has already been shipped, you will have to create a new order using the correct address.
Are items returned due to incorrect address/undeliverable?
If your item(s) are returned for this reason, you will have to pay the shipping fee again.
Because the item has gone through the shipping process, we are unable to use the same shipping label and will need to create a new one.
What if my item is damaged upon receiving?
We are not responsible for anything caused by the shipping carrier, but we will assist you with providing documentation to file a claim.
If your item is received open (powder spilling out of the bag) or your capsules cracked, we will replace the item free of charge.
Do you issue refunds?
We offer a 48-hour return window (excluding weekends), which means you have 48 hours after receiving your order to request a return, with a valid reason.
Because of the nature of our products, we can’t offer refunds for simply changing your mind. Refunds are typically only granted in the following situations:
- There was a mistake on our end
- The transaction was fraudulent and flagged by the cardholder’s bank
- All other refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
To be eligible for a return:
- Your item must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging
- You must contact us first at info@honestherbstore.com to begin the return process
If your return is approved, we’ll send you a return shipping label along with clear instructions on how and where to send your package. Please note that returns sent without contacting us first won’t be accepted.
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you about the status of your refund. If approved, your refund will be automatically issued to your original payment method. Just a heads up—it may take a few business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
